Amsoil Fluids and Filters.
I would like some opinions on the Amsoil line of products for BMW's. I have a friend that swear's by them. He is using everything from the oil to the diff fluids and yes, the transmission fluid. He uses all of their filters for his X5 also. He has been doing it for years. I used to use it in my Durango's but it got a little pricey. His E53 still runs like a top. Just curious about hearing from you all about this.

Snake oil
Nothing wrong w snake oil, fine oil...but no better than Mobil (and other) products...which are tested and certified. And cheaper in many cases. My issue is that they don’t test and certify- claiming its too expensive (it is)..but this means we cannot know if it meets specs. Sorry, too many good oils that ARE tested and certified. |
