2013 X5 Entertainment system troubles

Hello
I wonder if someone could give me an idea on what could be wrong with the entertainment system in my car.
Here is what is happening:

When car is cold - seems to be temperature related I get
1. "No warning tone error" right after I start the car
2. Radio switching to FM even if it was on satellite
3. Radio, bluetooth sounds cut in and out, at first about 1 second of sound and 10 seconds on silence
4. Screen is switching from showing radio station on the top to empty and back
5. I'm unable to select any of satellite radio channels.

After about 15 min car warms up and sound starts cutting less and less , then , it just works normally

Sounds like CIC module problem, but I'd like to get other opinions.
Anton

It's in a good condition, 11.7 Volt in the morning. Car starts right away.
Charged it to 100% while unplugged from the car.
Plugged it back, still the same problem.

11.7 is basically a dead battery. You're lucky it is starting your car. So could very well be a battery and/or charging system issue.

As previously stated, 11.7 volts is not a sign of a good battery. Depending on age, it could be recoverable but probably easier to replace it with a good new one then see where your at.

11.7 volts is almost a full volt below the resting voltage for a good battery. Six cells at 2.1 V each, should be 12.6 for a good battery..

On another note, I have noticed now that it is cold out, that the Infotainment system seems to take longer to 'boot/load', often seeing a message that it is loading for 5-10 seconds or more, don't recall that a month ago when it was warmer..

Agree, it was low. I don't drive this car too often . Just charged it and after 2 hours voltage stays at 12.6 volts.
Still same problem.

11.7 can happen if the car turns on devices putting the battery under load. My 35d for example will be around there and if I let it sit until I stop hearing the devices buzzing etc, it goes back to 12.6 or so.

Anyway, why would out be a battery issue if when started the alternator is putting out 13.8-14.7 v?
Is your car showing that voltage when running?

If you have a bad battery, whatever the alternator is putting out is being sucked up by the battery and the primary systems that allow the engine to run. BMW's are notorious for electrical gremlins and a bad battery and/or charging system cause those gremlins to come to light more often.

If the battery is overloading the alternator you would have below 13.8v. Otherwise that voltage and above means the equipment is getting the proper voltage.

Op, measure your voltage while the issues are happening and let us know.
