FRM shot for a second time.
I’m puzzled.
Long story short I have a new to me 2011 35i. Has 100k on it and spent a few thousand getting it to a good running state and did some preventative maintenance too. Thanks for everyone when I originally posted my concerns back in November. I started playing with INPA a few months back and would constantly have a code related to the FRM- something like A8A6 which I believe translated to some sort of Corning light out. Which it wasn’t, which I was then informed means the FRM is “fried” and has some sort of short circuit or something. I coded some options into other modules of the car no problem. Got the the FRM and it was lights out, totally fried. Removed the FRM sent it to some company that fixes these issues. I believe the term is resetting circuits/bench flashing. Nonetheless I got the unit back plug and play was good to go, no further coding. Left the FRM coding that I wanted to do alone. Checked INPA again today and I’m back to square one. Have a fault code for no reason. What could be the issue here? Only thing I know is battery was probably never registered when it was replaced about 2 years ago. I also have a seat position warning that won’t go away. All related to battery? Not sure. Hope someone has input. |
