Dilemma:keep 35D or trade?

Hey, guys, I have a 2012 e70 35D with almost 100k and I went through hell with it and it finally runs great(knock on wood). So I’m thinking of either keeping it or trading it in for a 2018 N55 X5 or 2015 Range Rover Sport. Both are the same price and mileage(~30k). I know this is a BMW forum, but was hoping for someone who might have went though the same. All opinions are welcome. My problem is that I kind off lost faith in this car. Thank you!

PS Things I’ve done with X5 very recently:
-all new injectors
-new original valve cover
-new water pump
-new thermostat
-new belts
-new dampener pulley
-all new vacuum lines
-new glow plug unit
-new original starter
-new control arms
-new stabilizer bars
-new crank shaft sensor
-new camshaft sensor
-new rear main seal
-new transmission valvebody seals
-new teansmission cooler thermostat
-a lot of other new seals and gaskets
-transmission filter and fluid
-new engine mounts
-new transmission mount
-new original injector harness

Sorry I won’t be able to offer much help. I do definitely know what it is like to not trust the car, and always feel like you have your fingers crossed driving it. But man you have done so much to it, so many new parts on it, it would be hard for one with even 30k miles to be better mechanically speaking. Look at it this way, if you were looking for one, and found one that had all that work done and was in great apparent shape, would you be interested in it? If not, then I would probably trade it in. Is yes, then maybe think about keeping it. Sorry best I can offer.

Boils down to whether you'd rather save the money on the new to you vehicles. Personally, with all of that work done I'd feel better about the 35d, but I do most all ofy own work and consider less than 100k on this vehicle to be low. Of course, not all of your list is standard maint items. So, as you say it really comes down to peace of mind. Doing my own vehicle work, I would NOT get the Rover, at least not without good Warranty.

If you buy a used X5 or range rover, even if it's just a few years old, prepare to go through hell. If you want paradise, buy brand new and keep just 2 years.

It's pointless to get a used vehicle, fix it like you have done, sell it probably at a loss, then get another used vehicle to repeat exactly the same thing.

Thank you, guys. Everything replaced was not something because I just wanted it as you can understand. I understand where you’re coming from but my main thing is the confidence in the car, and I don’t have it.

Understood, we have had vehicle that my wife felt that way abut after I had done a slew of items on it as well. Ended up selling it for sake of peace (of mind).

"Ended up selling it for sake of peace (of mind)". Such a valuable conclusion IMO.

How many of those things needed replacing versus how many you relied on the honesty of a dealer or shop? Out of curiosity...

Im at 151k on my 2012 D and the only item on your list is the ATF/Pan change
