Replacement android head unit question
I'm not unfamiliar with Android TV boxes, however these devices seem to be different animal. Mine runs on Android 11 and I'm currently trying to figure out how to have a specific apk run when the device starts (Spotify). I don't use Android Auto and I have it set up to automatically look for and connect to my phone when on hotspot, and it would be nice to have the device boot automatically into Spotify when started. On Android TV boxes I've used various "first to launch" apks but haven't found anything that will work.. Any help would be appreciated! |

I'm using Wolf Launcher and I'm happy with it but I'm looking for a way for the device to boot right into Wolf Launcher rather than going to the regular launcher and me having to press the home button to launch Wolf. Any ideas how to do this? Thanks ![]() |

I have one and installed the Apple CarPlay extension
As soon as the car starts, it goes directly into CarPlay mode; somewhere along the installation process it asked if it should auto-start CarPlay; I did not require any additional programming It takes 2-3 secs to launch (Android Start Screen), then stays in the main menu for another 3-4 secs and then goes to CarPlay (APK app), which opens Apple Maps. I do not need to press anything..... So there should be a setting to auto-start your APK...
