Video of whats its doing... https://youtu.be/nnJAM-QthSg Pic of screen... ![]() #'s stay the same except "Actual speed fuel pump" ranging from 6590-6880. Andrew I see your screen displays RPM and mine is in 1/min. ??? I'lll get back to it when I get home and do the voltage/amp. I saw those choices in another section. Use the graph function to see change over time 1/min is just a German way of saying rpm.
Curious that your rpm is much higher if that's at idle. That could likely factor into the problem. Bring up a graph with both delivery rate and actual RPM. I'll do the same for baseline. I don't know what function determines the delivery rate but something is very wrong and I think your problem will be solved when we get to the answer.

![]() ![]() ![]() Some reference baseline numbers for you. The l/hr and rpm I was in park and just revved. The pump voltage I was driving and the high pressure I was accelerating up a hill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

FP Voltage...
V @ key on https://xoutpost.com/members/rvaughn...oltage-key.jpg V @ idle ![]() Not making any sense to me. My voltage is 1.5-2 volts higher. My specific speed, fuel pump is reading in l/h not rpm. Your Specific delivery rate, fuel pump is showing 2 l/h while mine is showing 254 ?!!! My rail pressure seems like its providing enough at least to idle, but it if its not getting a good reading that may cause it to not reflect to the solenoid how much to open?! The BMW oem HPFP sensor should be in tomorrow, I'll report back if that does or doesn't make a difference. Last edited by rvaughnp; 06-07-2023 at 09:49 PM. |

2013 E70 X5 35i N55 fuel issue
The key difference is that fuel rate. 254 is 2^8 -2 yay feels like a sensor error to me.
If having to bet and based on "broke and replaced sensor" and the classic idiom new ≠ fixed, 10:1 odds on the problem being that hp sensor. The one module I cold see l/h and rpm. Was in a very different place than volts and I couldn't find an amps reading.

***** Moral of this story... if liquid or electricity runs through it but OEM!!! I even double checked the part # on ECS with my year and make and it says its compatible. ![]() I now have some misfire codes but thats expected with how messed up it was running. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP ANDREW!!! Letting me compare the scanner results was extremely helpful! Thanks again. If your in the DFW area let me know, I'll buy drinks.

If you get codes that return having anything to do with fuel/charging/exhaust then run the throttle adaptations by unplug the tank vent solenoid and idle for 15 minutes.
It was good you had the same scanner. Run the graph where you can show the pump RPM and compare again. Also the high pressure where it was showing I think desired vs. actual pressure and was something like 179 psi

Going to just replace all coils and call it a day. I have "redo throttle" on my list as when I did it last, it was not running correctly and believe it was reset to that poor calibration. I'll rerun the scanner once I get the misfire issue figured out. Pretty sure coils will fix it and the misfire moved with the rusty coil. |
