Front Bilstein B8 Shocks, Bump Stops?

I'm in the middle of installing new springs/shocks, and front lower control arms/etc. The springs will be H&R 1.2", and the shocks are Bilstein B8 front and rear. The rear shocks came with new bump stops, but the fronts didn't come with any. My original bump stops are quite degraded, and I never thought to order some for this job. I did see in other BMW forums that some front Bilstein shocks have internal bump stops, so using the OEM bump stop is not required. Anyone know where I can find this information for the E70? Mine is a 2012 X5 35i, no air suspension or 3rd row.

You need the secondary shock absorbers (aka external bump stops) as they work in tandem with the shocks. I don't think the B8's have them, internally. I emailed Bilstein about the B12 kit and they said to install the secondary shock absorbers as the X5 shocks don't have the internal bump stops. Maybe email them again to be sure.
