New x5 price

I found this on a website(germancarfans) and i hope you find this attractive

a base MSRP of $46,595 for the six-cylinder X5 3.0si. The V8 X5 4.8i will be priced from $55,195

it seems a good deal ,,

If it does come out at $55K I feel bad for all thouse 2006 and earlier 4.8 buyers that paid $20K more then that.

also there are many more options to choose from, so i am sure knowing bmw that fully loaded the price will be dramatically higher. 55k is probably with 14 inch tires, plexiglass windows and a 2 seater. you have to pay to "upgrade" to everything else

55k is base price. The current 4.8is is fully loaded X5 with NAV and load floor as options. It is also sports tuned. The new base 4.8i is not sport tuned. There are about 5HP less on new 4.8i. A loaded E70 4.8i is close in price to exisitng 4.8is, probably more. The seats in 4.8is have nappa leather, the 4.8i will have dakota leather. Ther are other differences too.

I don't feel bad, my 4.8is exhaust will still sound better than the E70 4.8i with sports package.

IMHO, the current 4.8is will still be way better -performance wise compared to the E70 X5 with the new 4.8 engine... I won't feel bad for current 4.8is owners as well, in fact I'd take a 4.8is over the E70 4.8

That's true, you do have a loaded version.

i love the brand, love the x5, but i never liked feeling like i was being nickel and dimed. premium package, rear climate package (that one's my favorite), sport package, comfort seats, cold weather package (another good one), etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc......

Yah does seem like you pay for the sake of owning a Bimmer and then pay for the items that come standard on any Lexus/Caddy/MB/Audi
