11) No turbo 6-cylinder engine!

BTW, I never acitivated the side airbags in my X5. I've heard that kids leaning or sleeping against the door can get seriously injured, similar to what happens with the front airbags.

That's true. BMW will make you sign a waiver to active the rear side airbags.

JV is quite correct ... Don Cherry was a famous National Hockey League (NHL) coach with the Boston Bruins back when Bobby Orr ruled the hockey world.
Cherry is now a very colorful and opinionated Hockey commentator with the CBC TV network ...and is rightfully nicknamed the "Gripes".

Page 16 of ordering guide reads "Pre-wired for trailer hitch and satelite radio" as standard option.
I don't think disc-changer is in glove box. Don't know where that comes from. My guess is the MP3 capable 6-disc changer is probably below the rear LCD screen(see pic below) You can use the same disc changer for video or audio.

We have already discussed why there is no ride-height adjustment(see scott's post)

re: 1) Trailer Hitch: Good find LemansX5 ... Unfortunately there is no mention in our Canadian Brochure re: "Pre-wired for trailer hitch and satelite radio" as a standard option.

I just wanted to make a note that installing a trailer hitch on the new E70 X5 will be as painful as the X3's ... No punch out in the Rear bumper fascia for a trailer hitch installation >>> Cutouts are labour intensive and finding a matching trim is just another chore.

It's suppose to be a Sports "Activity" Vehicle and not an F1 Sauber stealth. Sometimes you have to attach or tow = Bike racks .. Boats .. ATVs ... Snowmobiles ... Motorbikes ....Mother-in-Laws ....
