Black Trim Question

I have ordered a Space Grey 4.8 sport with many other options. I did not know if the car would come with chrome or blacked out trim. I originally thought that this was based on sport or non-sport models. However, I saw a 3.0 (see space gray picture) and a 4.8 (see black picture) on the dealer's lot today. Neither of them were sport models. Both had rear climate packages with the privacy glass. The space grey 3.0 was blacked out, the black 4.8 had chrome. Now I am confused. Is it that all 3.0s are blacked out and all 4.8s have chrome??

I thought the chrome was only available on non-sport models too.

All 3.0's are blacked out, 4.8i with sports package is blacked out(shadowline trim), 4.8 without sports package has chrome.

I could be wrong but I think that is the same as it was with the E53. Both My E53 3.0i (non-sport) came with black trim as standard.

The black trim is a £350 option in the UK brochure for non-sport models. The black trim is one of the components of the dynamic pack.

Do you mean it is an option on the E70? - as I certainly didn't pay for it on my E53.

If it is the E70 option price, where did you get the UK prices for the options - any chance of scanning them in? I'm still waiting to get my copy of the UK brochure - BMW UK are being particularly slow in getting one to me!

I'm afraid I don't have access to a scanner. however, I have the full UK dealer ordering guide. If you have any specific queries, I'd be happy to try and answer. The answer to your first question is yes, it is an option.

Only a couple of specific queries...

...what are all the available options in the UK & what do they cost??

I am struggling to get this info and keen to start playing with the spec V's budget.

If you could take the time to list what info you have I'm sure all the UK guys would be appreciative.
