In the UK the Aluminium trim is a free option and from what I know there is no Graphite option. Each to there own but the Aluminium is much more popular here than wood.

I agree with you...If it was Aluminium maybe I would keep it...But the Graphite - Just looks like painted plastic...i did not like that look....

By the Way - here the pics from an X5world member that sold me on the Light Poplar int.

Thanks again....

Good to see a thread like this... I'll be asking for a sample of the aluminum (not graphite) before I choose for sure.

I've checked brochures as well as the build your own site and it only says graphite so I was holding out hope that the dealers have this as their option... but I guess I'm outta luck. Anyway, PM sent.

You may be onto something....

Check the dealer Spe sheet...

All BMWs..I should say most do have special Priority1 options. These options can only be ordered. Like the Lemon Int. on the E90's....

In any case good luck

nice sounding rig, is it smooth 'ette or the rough 'ette from the X3??
by graphite you mean trim, right?

Carryover model years (Excluding 5er and introduction of new models generally) production starts 09/XX, in this case 09/07. If thats the case, plan on delivery not before 10/07, or later because of the delays that seem to be inherent with this model.
Enjoy your car, congrats and keep that baby safe in the city!

That's not graphite. Don't think graphite is offered in E70 yet.
Check this post.

Check this post.

The last 2 pics from my post are Graphite. I took the pics from BMWNA website -> Build your X5 3.0si.

...and I have seen it with my own eyes at the dealer on Friday 5/18/07. The Sticker clearly said Graphite, My CA stated it was Graphite....Thats how I knew it was not for me...so I went with Light Poplar.....Sometimes you just need to see some items in real life as they do look diff. from pics....

It does make the car look more sporty, but just does not bring out any emotion for me....

Just to be clear Graphits is available and is standard trim on the 07 X5 3.0si. (E70)

Thank You.
