Bluetooth Address Book Issues with Verizon 8700c Blackberry
The new e70 4.8 recognizes the Verizon Blackberry 8700c but only pullse a portion of the address book. Maybe 150 entries and then stops. Anyone else have any ideas about a fix.

I found there was a problem with mine in relation to the address book entries. Edit your address book entries so that you take out any ( or , characters, then it should work.
I simply cleaned up my address book (on my PC, then uploaded it to the BB) and the bluetooth updated instantly... |

hmm...I think my problem is different...
It only downloaded "A" through "G". Everything after "G" does not show up at all. How many entries can the system hold?

Make sure you don't have any illegal characters in some of your names such as @ , ' " ! these will cause the import routine to fall over.

TrueX5er,
Your problem isn't different. You have some illegal characters in your address book. As soon as the X5 sees these illegal characters, it stops reading. Start looking someplace after G. As to reaching your limit, I have over 500 names in mine, more since it counts each phone number as a seperate entry. I don't think you're hitting a limit. PS the Ipod adapter has the same problem - wouldn't read my playlists with illegal characters, fixed it up and bingo, all lists appear. |

IllegalCharacters
Now I think we are on to something. Are the illegal characters listed somewhere. Maybe in the bluetooth forum. Do you have to delete them from just the phone number lines or from the address or even the notes fields. My Verizon Blackberry 8700 issue is similar to others.

Update:
Still having problems. Can please somebody define exactly which characters are illegal, and maybe give an example? The next few entires after where it dropped were fine...is there any way to search for illegal entries? Thanks
