Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) Updated

Found this on the BMWCCA website. I have RTTI on my coupe and while its been pretty good at alerting me of traffic jams, I have noticed that its sometimes slow to report them. Maybe this will help and I was surprised to find out that I have to do nothing. A free upgrade!!!!!!!!

I don't think you can retrofit. RTTI is only available on MY 07+.

I was thinking about this last night and was wondering if BMWs equipped with RTTI will also provide a signal for helping identify traffic? Can anyone find that answer?

In today's Washington Post's frontpage, I found this article on RTTI. It even shouts out BMW for having such technology.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...021901163.html

I still get the feeling that a lot of folks still don't understand how useful this info is, since many people still ask whether or not they should get NAV (probably more on other boards I visit) when buying a new BMW. Maybe its a big-city thing
