sorry to dig up an old thread, but how noticeable should the soft touch closure be , I have an 07 4.8i and it does not work as noticealbly as my lexus which makes a very audible mechanical sound. Could my soft touch be broken? This is after I have already lowered the bottom tailgate and closed it and then went to close the top tailgate. Essentially it feels like for the bmw i have to give it a lot greater of a slam then the lexus which really grabs at the trunk if it is even close to the latch.
