http://www.bmwusa.com/Owners/BmwAssi...ces.htm?id=235

As depicted in the photo, an assist advisor has arrived in a x5 to help someone....anyone know if they really arrive in such a vehicle?

no they arrive in an old beat-up tow truck, but they give you a free ride in the front seat....thats if you can recover from looking at his butt crack while he bends over YOUR X5

In our area, yes, they have several E53's that serve as the Roadside Assist vehicles. There are 2 BMW dealers in the immediate area but our dealer handles all of the RA calls for the whole area. I can't remember if they are painted with something about BMW RA or not?

I have called 2 times in 39 months for flats. A standard Tow Truck arrives. It's the same guy that would have come if I called AAA.

In both cases, they were pretty quick and swapped my tire without any issues.

I live in the Fairfax and see the BMW Roadside Assist vehicles occassionaly. They are BMW models... the station wagon style. I have not observed any X5 with the BMW RA logo.

If you live close to a dealer... You would get BMW to come help. If not... and your in a remote location... BMW has no choice but to send out a AAA contracted company.
