E53 vs E70

Here is a great comparison of the exterior body differences between the E53 and E70. They morphed photos back and forth, you can really see the increase in size.

Talking

Hate to say it, but I prefer the look of the E53...so I bought one instead. I also like to have a spare tire and I detest runflats.

I could probably be okay with most of the E70 style accept for the rear-end. Too much Japanese styling in it for me

I had an E70 behind me this morning. Not liking the view from my rear view mirror - other than the fact of me being in front It's just not doing it for me at all.

WOW...I cant believe you like the older style better, especially the front.
Personally I like the E70 style much more than the E53.

the E53 looks like a little girl next to the E70:

I agree, the E70 looks nice and filled out and the E53 looks a bit scrawny. Just my $.02.

I have never used this icon before...but the need is here now.....

Side note IMO: the E53 carved its own niche...the E70 is competing with Lexus and Acura. Got those words from two BMW dealers. IMO I prefer the leader to the follower.

IMO E70 is not a head-turner same as E53 was when it came out. E70 just blends in with other SUVs. definitely with Acura and VW. There is very little of WOW effect on the exterior. I cannot put my finger on it but something is out of balance. Hope they iron it out and throw in some out of this world one of a kind color.
