Another excited guy who took delivery of a 4.8!!
hey guys, so my x5 finally arrived at the dealer almost SIX MONTHS after i put down a deposit.. took about 4 months to get produced.. and another 2 months to get to crevier bmw in orange county.

it's a crazy car, i gotta say.. i feel nervous driving it.. haha.. and it only has 22 miles right now. i'm really interested in what some of you might do at the dealer with the new software update for our current idrive software.. PLEASE let me (us) know what kind of real improvements it makes!!

space gray / black nevada / bamboo wood
premium, tech, sport , rear climate, 20s, running boards, front window tint

space gray seems to be the classic x5 color now

Congratulations!

I wait for my X5 for June with the same configuration as yours.

Only difference, I chose the polite aluminum inserts.

I am satisfied to see what it is going to look like....

Very hot color/combo. First mod I would do is take that Crevier plate off the front :-)

I say keep them on and cover up your VIN...that way you can go through photo enforced lights without worrying about whether you're gonna get tagged.

sorry, this may be a newb question.. but what does covering up the VIN do? i don't get it..

supposedly, there are high definition cameras that can get your VIN clearly, just in case you don't have your plates on. my friend said she got one in the mail and it showed her VIN in the photos. don't know if it's true, but I did it just in case it is.

How does the bamboo look with the black (in person...)? Just ordered that on a black 4.8i... Have any close ups of that?
