Is this the same E70 Aero Kit ?

I hear prices from $2,500 to $4,000 on this forum for E70 aero kits. Isn't it the aerokit listed at the link below? Why the significant price difference for just paint/installation? http://kellybmw.oemdealer.com/x5-aer...1880_19635.php

Bingo! That's the E70 Aero Kits. Good find and great price.

I saw an E70 with the aero kit last weekend and it does make it look better. It was a space grey E70.

Not sure why there is a huge gap in prices. Just spoke with my sales guy in Louisville and here are quotes on a few items:

Aero Kit* (painted, mounted, tax, etc. ) Total $1,794.17
*Only charging me $956.00 for the aero-kit

Dealer Installed IPOD 6FL Total $456.30
Wheel Flares (Front/Rear, install, etc.) Total $445.47

What do you guys think?

I heard that wheel flares are included with the aero kit. You might want to look into that.

I am double checking it. I also heard that. I will confirm and post my findings.

the link that calix5fan submitted above lists the flares in the package. Now, can someone tell me what those actually are? Is it just different plastic pieces around the fender that flare out more than the stock plastic pieces around the fender?

All the prices sound good.

Did you order your X5 w/ the 6FL option or is the dealer adding this after the fact?

I was told this couldnt be added to existing vehicles.

I heard about the fender flares being what you described... but it states "flared wheel arches" are included. I don't know if that is the same thing.
