back to the question from yesterday, please. i'd like to control the video on the rear screens with my i-drive. my kids are too young to operate the remotes. it would be easy for my to change the disc to their liking, foward reverse, etc. from the i-drive. there is only one dvd changer and its in the glovebox. the factory rear entertainment screen does not display content from the dvd changer in the glovebox (stupidest feature). i would like to know if the invision screens can receive the oem dvd changers video. it has neither a usb nor an rca output. only an lvds cable to the nav screen. thanks in advance

The INViSiON System has 2 inputs. RCA and USB with that said if you can run the DVD changer to these types of inputs you can watch video, if not tap into these inputs then you can not watch video. Sounds like without extra cabling that you can't I am unfamiliar with the factory DVD changer's outputs. So I do not think it can be done unless you can somehow go from BMW Output to RCA input. But the system will play anything you plug into it via RCA or USB.

I think i answered this in the thread already. X5Meister does this make sense?

HAppy Friday...I'm Out!

It does make sense, I think he just wanted to hear it from the horses mouth (no insult intended). No idea what the output on the dvd changer is either, but given it's integration with the nav i-drive setup it's a CCC, soon to be a CIC setup. I doubt anything else will easily integrate with that setup yet, but what do I know.
