Correct

In addition i believe AIFF is better quality then the MP3 option given in iTunes. By virture of the fact that more songs are squeezed onto a cd downgrades the quality when that option is chosen and the MP3 disc is burned.

If we're talking about the original AIFF files from an audio cd, then yes. When you import them into iTunes, it converts them into ACC(m4a) files, reducing the file size by about nine tenths. Burning back to audio cd format (AIFF) won't give better quality at that point.

Regardless, I have really not heard much of a difference anyway.

My point was with regard to burning MP3 discs which have over a 100 songs on them. Thats where the quality is diminished.

Well, I assume that this is the E70 forum so I didn't realize that you are referring to older models.

OK folks, I do agree that getting a new iPod is the simplest solution. Looking into that right now since my daughter wants a Nano so I will inherit 60G Photo. The question was more of a rhetorical type about m4a files. I can convert them into mp3 format (Xilisoft Audio Converter) and then burn em but I thought that someone might have tried m4a already. However, since I am getting one for free now (well thats relative since I paid for it anyway) I guess I will have the same thing as Klawal: http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...terface-5.html
