The MDX kicks the X5 in the ass in these areas.

Then regarding the ride...if you dont actually drive a X5 w/ ADAPTIVE DRIVE you should not make a comment on the ride quality. I realize this is totally "subjective" (here we go again) but the X5 w/ Adaptive Drive (Sport model in US) is truely a different animal than the non-sport model and not even in the same league as the previous year models.
I spent a week driving the MDX, and extensivly tested the X5 sport vs non-sport before buying and IMO the X5 Sport had the best ride.

Now the difference between the MDX and X5 was very close, but to say the MDX is clearly superior just is not true. If you have not driven the MDX and X5 w/ ADAPTIVE DRIVE side by side try it, you will be amazed.

This article can be taken w/ a grain of salt, IMO the writer did not do enough research.
I totally agree with you. I took a friend of mine who owns a 07 MDX for a test drive on my E70 and he flatly told me that E70 is much better than his MDX.

I extensively tested both MDX and X5 on the (paved) back roads around Calgary, and for me the X5 was a clear winner despite the $$$ tag. Mind you I was comparing fully equipped MDX against X5 without the adaptive drive, since in Canada to get it you have to buy the active steering too, and I wanted to stay away from that as far as could. The cornering, acceleration, breaking (especially this) ... everything is better on X5.

Now, I must admit that certain things about interior I liked better on MDX. Acura doesn't have anything close to iDrive but the commands are simple and sufficient I dare to say. And if some people here don't like the BMW rear view camera - you should see the one in MDX, it is a total joke.

I guess I can go on and on, but you get the picture, I liked BMW better.

you better write Roundel since that is the model they tested against the MDX.
