I know this is an old question...but thought someone might benefit from the answer. Yes, I'm using a Thule cargo box on my oem bmw crossbars. The only thing you need to do is make sure that you buy longer screws for the Thule as the original installation screws are made for thinner crossbars (ie. th4e Thule or Yakima bars).
