Actually they are quoted from my Mum, Senior designer at BMW.

You can always tell the dealer you will go to another dealer with your order. That will probably concentrate the mind. They have plenty of other customers that aren't as well informed as we are.

its a shame here in delhi there are only 2 dealers and i have already paid about 12,000 usd as an advance

Sorted. My dealer will delay my order for the October MY2008 build, so depending on the dealer's allocation, I hope to have one by the end of the year.

I don't think some dealers are all that bothered about losing X5 customers, as they seem to spend most of there time working on 1 and 3 series sales.

Great news, but that is contrary to BMW magazine

As I recall, BMW magazine said the twin turbo would not be available in the X5 (or maybe it said U.S.) until the 2009 model year. I hope that it is wrong (or my recollection is wrong). I very much need the twin turbo is to come to the U.S. very soon. I can't wait for a whole new model year.

I am no expert on this but I believe I have read that there are issues either with the qulaity of diesel that is available over there.
