Great news, but that is contrary to BMW magazine
As I recall, BMW magazine said the twin turbo would not be available in the X5 (or maybe it said U.S.) until the 2009 model year. I hope that it is wrong (or my recollection is wrong). I very much need the twin turbo is to come to the U.S. very soon. I can't wait for a whole new model year.

I am no expert on this but I believe I have read that there are issues either with the qulaity of diesel that is available over there.
