consolidated is on a distinguished road
I regularly tow two bikes to the track with a 3.0.

I use a 6 x 12 enclosed Haulmark V-front trailer that weighs about 1300#.

I usually carry two Ducatis wet, 3-5 gallon fuel jugs, pop-up canopy, chairs, cooler, tires, Yamaha generator, small rolling tool chest, fans, supplies, riding gear, sometimes a portable AC unit, and one buddy plus luggage.

I guess depending on the trip I'm towing 2600-2800#.

It's been fine but you definitely know you've got essentially a 3/4 ton billboard in tow. I cruise at around 70-75mph and the car is usually in 5th but spends some time in 4th and even 3rd on inclines. Over 75 and I get the sense that air resistence is starting to hold it back, but it will cruise at 80mph if needed. Having said that, I can't imagine towing 6000# with this motor, a single axle and no trailer brakes.

The brakes are satisfactory, even in near panic stops. I don't have trailer brakes installed, I don't think their neccessary.

My only advice would be to watch the tongue weight, it makes a difference on how the X5 behaves.
