seeing more and more Y spokes on 3.0s, I thought they were only an option for the 4.8 ? Or is it the default option when doing 20s ?

Yup, exactly the same as Kasyd's.... It was in for two days to fit. Dealer had to fit the hardware on the Monday then programme on the Tuesday. Had it back Tues lunchtime.

Dealer also advised me not to get it done as an option when buying the car as then the luxury car tax would be applied, so it was fitted as a dealer spare parts item (ie I paid the lady that sells the clothing/accessories etc) after we took delivery.

Maybe that's the reason for a price variation Kasy?

Cheers

Sounds about right LVR, the luxury tax thing is a pest, organising some options can vary from dealer to dealer,, thank heavens my lady is an accountant.. . The tow bar on it's own may not be a huge hit with luxury tax but when you also go for the paint protection ( add another 2K +) and a few other dealer added bits then yea the lux tax adds up and thats when it's best adding those extra's to a separate invoice..
At the end of the day and after having seen some other fit jobs, I was so relieved to see the tow bar fitted in such a respectable way that I would have been happy to pay retail.
