Climate Comfort Windscreen

Does anyone have this and if so can u tell me what its meant to do. I am supposed to have it on my car - dealer told me it was meant to reduce sun glare so I specified it but i really cant tell the difference and was wondering whether I actually do have a climate comfort windscreen. Anyone know how to tell whether u have it ?

I was in the same position a couple of weeks ago, it does not look like the option in the old E53 at all. It is pretty colorless, and at the rear view mirror, note there is a shaded section like this, \________/
I really can not say if this makes any difference in the sunlight at all, also no green strip with mine cause of the HUD.

Hope this helps,

The climate confort windscreen contains an additional filter to block infrared light and create a cooler environment inside. Though practically transparent, you can notice this film from the cut-out areas around the sun visor, which helps RFID devices to be installed (toll gate devices etc...) because the film may block also the emisions of these signals to and form these devices. Definitely a must have option in hot climates or where the sun is very bright. As a matter of fact anywhere in South Europe, Middle East and Africa it comes as part of the "hot cliamte" package or "tropical countries" option. Also, it comes as std with the green ribon on top.

The GTS is just a standard screen with the green band across the top.

Thanks for the responses. i have the cut out bit around the rear view mirror. I supose I will need to wait for a really hot day to see how well it works. Wonder whether there is a similar coating on the sunroof as I would have though this is where most ofthe heat would be comming from on a hot day
