But I don't understand why dealership keeps telling people that they cannot repair RTF when people here in the forum were able to have their RTF repaired? Is this their way of making money or repaired RTF poses risk?
No, BMW does not reccommend repairing the tire, probably a liability issue. However, the manufacture does say that it can be repaired if the guidelines are followed. A special vulcanizing procedure is required. Call around in your area to some reputable tire dealers and ask if the are "Certified" by the manufacturer to repair the run-flat. If the puncture is larger than 3/16" this may pose a safety issue. If you have tire insurance it is easier just to change the tire for the dealer. Most dealers are not even aware that they can be repaired. The other thing to remember is that to dis-mount and re-mount the tire requires special equipment so make sure the tire dealer has this equipment or they may damage the tire and rims.
