4.8i issues already!

can anyone in here tell me what i am or may be experiencing?

took delivery on Thursday night and all was good.
Saturday i try to go out and i see this:

park brake malfunction
awd + dsc malfunction
rear view camera malfunction
and some other malfunctions i can't remember
5 or 6 malfunctions in all popped up on the screen after 2 days (Friday + sat.) of ownership. it won't even start!

had to get it towed to the dealership this morning after manually releasing the park brake and manually unlocking the transmission!

such bullshit after $70,000 spent!

what gives?
no word from the service department yet.
I'm about to tell them to keep it and refund me but waiting before i pass judgement.

Sorry to hear it, picked up my 4.8 on Friday, and have already put 700 miles on it. No problems yet, even though now I know what everyone is talking about the camera sucks at night.

How do you know they are actually malfunctions...if the battery is dead, the computer might assume there was a malfunction.

I am just making a suggestion...you said the car wont start. First thing I would check is the battery.

I had a similar situation with my E53. The battery crapped out after a few months and all the electrical components that you can think of went nuts. It looks like you have power when you turn the key but the car would not start. Have to get it towed to the dealer. They said I got a bad battery. The car was fine after replacing my battery.

The E53 is no E70 but hope this helps.

battery on a brand new vehicle?
i was at the gyme for 45mins max ... nothing was left on. how does the battery suddenly go dead after 2 days of ownership?
the vehicle was ordered and i picked it up the same day it arrived.

i just can't understand.

on the malfunction issue. i'm just stating what the vehicle was saying. not assuming anything. just stating it like i saw it. i know malfunction to mean 1 thing and that's "malfunction".

i'm just frustrated with this whole ordeal after paying for it in full!

tomorrow i should know something from the service department so i'll let all know what comes out of it.

hopefully it's just a battery like some say. i'd be content with that.

It is not unheard of for a brand new battery failing. The symptoms you have described are typical of a bad battery. The low voltage causes the cars onboard computer to malfunction resulting in all sorts of messages. This happened with a bunch of us who bought the early model VW Touaregs. Even if there was a severe drop in temp and the battery was sensitive to the temp change and reduced its voltage output, it would result in all sorts of warning messages. I bet you will find they end up replacing your battery and all will be fine. Don't worry too much about it, although I am sure you are a little miffed as I would be too. I have had mine for just over a week now and love it!

It is not unusual. I realize its frustrating when you spend alot of money and immediatly have issues. Take a deep breath and relax, its likely somthing very minor and I wouldnt be surprised at all if you had a dead battery.

Just because you didnt leave anything on or open doesnt mean the battery wasnt weak when you picked it up...it could be a number of things, but stressing out wont do you any good. Hopefully you will have good news in the morning.

well ...
service department called and said they have narrowed it down to a possible 3 causes.
alternator, starter module or battery.
according to them they'll leave it hooked up to diagnostics overnight and let me know more tomorrow morning.
