Friday is apparently the big day. That is when I heard pricing is to be finalized, which I assume also means options finalized.

There are a couple of guys on the board who are very much on the leading edge regarding short term and long term BMW direction. Look for one of them to post the option and pricing sheets right here in the E70 forum very soon.

EXACTLY, crossing fingers that pricing/options are released tomorrow, since 2008 production begins next week. From what I hear, current orders are below expectations since this information has yet to be released. This can be a good thing, since dealers are more willing to discount to increase sales. I currently have two dealers willing to give me $2,500 off Base M.S.R.P.

I drive 2 hours up to LA from San Diego to save $1k-$2k for every car I've purchased. I'd drive 5 hrs to Chandler to save that! Let me know when you order, I may hop on that deal.

I expect to hear from him today. I will let you know!

Greg

FYI, I also just secured a price on the aero kit from Morristown BMW for $890 SHIPPED, and only $54.00 for carpeted floor mats ($130 retail). They are offering free shipping through 9/30. If I place my 4.8 order by tomorrow, I will order the aero kit as well .

Greg, The Aero Kit does look good in the pictures that I've seen on this site.

1. I asked "So you think it will work just fine on 2008 model?". This page answers that question that it does http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...=0&subItemId=0

2. I assume that that price from Morristown BMW included painting in the color you would need?

3. Is it an easy installation?

Check this one out, Brian: http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...21-rims-2.html
I'm partial to black and I think this is an excellent example of what you can do with an aero kit.

1. I'm sure it will. They wouldn't change the body after only one year
2. No. The aero kit comes primed. You need to take it to a body shop to have it painted and installed.
3. I have no clue. Sorry.

Been meaning to ask... Your-Avg-Joe Body Shop can't possibly have matching E70 colors could they ? What do they do about that ?

Depends on the color. Alpine white in my case has been around for quite a while . I'm sure that is a non issue, because new cars get into accidents all the time, and this is now the 2nd year with these colors at the very least.

Most of these colours are produced by advanceed paint mixing systems which use a coded number which indicates a blend of colours which result in what we would know as Space gray or Alpine White. They tend not to buy a tin of this and a tin of that.
