Venitlated Seat Pricing

My dealer tried to charge me as well (except he wanted $1,200 for the Preforated Nevada Leather). I showed him the BMW web site & their X5 brochure, both of which indicate that Nevada Leather is standard on the 4.8i and that Preforated Leather is a no cost option. After some discussion he agreed to remove it.....but did not seem too happy about it. I also pointed out that since I was getting the Sport package I was already paying for one seat upgrade that I was not getting.

This goes to both of the previous two posts...

Basically from what I understand, and other members have showed me, THERE SHOULD BE NO ADDITIONAL $1,200 CHARGE if you are getting the Active Ventilated Seat package, hereafter, ZAV.

ZAV already includes the multi-contour seats, but for whatever reason their system is asking them to add that option as extra... which makes no sence. Therefore my CA said he's calling BMW direcly on Monday and getting to the bottom of this.

Those of you that are getting it removed already, how are you doing it?

My dealer insisted that the multi-contour seats are changed to the "COMFORT multi-contour seats" so I have to pay that damn $1,200.
I didn't and still don't understand what that means...

That's crap.... where does it say that ANYWHERE in the pricing guide? It clearly says that ZAV includes 451, 453, & 456... 456 being the multi contour seats.

There is no such thing as "Comfort Multi-Contour Seats". These same seats used to be called "Comfort Seats" on other BMW models until sometime last year when BMW changed the name to "Multi-Contour seats". Maybe your dealer is trying to convince you that the Sport Seats are the "normal" Multi-Contour Seats and these are the "Comfort" version of the Multi Contour seats........which is not the case.

Hey guys, as of yesterday BMW finally fixed that glitch in their system where it would add $1,200 on top of the Active ventilated seat package for the multi-contour seats.

I just got the price adjustment from my CA; so now my build reflects the correct price.

Just giving you the heads up for those that have been told by your dealer that it's necessary, or that it's part of blah blah blah... no way! They need to take that extra charge off.

I'm assuming you skipped the auto lift gate option

How long will it have taken?

No I meant to ask by time you get your car on Tuesday, how much time would have gone by since you ordered it? My order was just finalized not too long ago so I want to have an idea how long my wait is going to be.
