I think I MAY have found a bulb replacement alternative!

Bringing an old thread back to life.

Since I'm in the bulb changing process and changed the AE bulbs to the 8500K GP THunders, I noticed that the orange driving/turn signal bulb dilutes the super white color of the AEs. The owner's manual says the bulb is a PSY24W. So, after a bit of google research, I found out that the PS24W is the same bulb but in Silver. Then, I stumbled across a GM Forum and found out that their fog lamps utilize the PS24W bulb...go figure GM and BMW share a common part Furthermore, the cross reference model of the PS24W is aka as H16 / 9009. I've only found 1 company that produces them, Putco. So, I pull out my bulb, and compared it to Putco's. The base looks similar, but not exactly the same, so my reservation would be of course if it would attach to the BMW bulb assembly.

Lastly, from what I read on the GM forum, the ION white looks like a stock clear bulb...a bit yellowish. So, may want to go with Nitro Blue.

I'm so tempted to order them, but want to hear if anybody has actually done this bulb mod. I hope I'm on the right path. Has anybody changed their turn signals yet that can chime in?

Did you end up getting these bulbs? And if you did, how do they look? Where did order them from?
