Which Floor Mats?

Hey All,

Dealership is giving me a choice of floor mats and don't know which one would be better. I was hoping that someone would have one or the other and would share if they liked it or not.

I have provided the links below between the floor mats:

All Weather Rubber Floor Liners (Most Expensive): http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=827

All Weather Rubber Floor Mats (Cheapest): http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=826

Rubber Floor Mats w/ Heel Pad : http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=633

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

With the X5, I only got the carpeted ones. With the X3, I had a choice of fully carpeted or rubber mats. We went for the rubber mats, but the dealer switched cars on us and we got carpeted. I would either take the first option or the last. Since you live in Hawaii, and you don't get snow, I would go for the third. I think that one looks the best, too. The first set is about $5 more than the Weathertech set, so get what you want

edit: the carpeted ones are actually the most expensive. do you have the option of those?

They're giving you the rubber mats for free? All I got was the cheap carpeted mats.

Go for the 1st one. My thing about free stuff is get the most expensive one. If you don't like it, you can always sell it and get the cheaper one. Either way, you definitely need rubber mats to protect your carpet from the sand and salt water. I would probably get the 1st one myself.

I have the rubber ones with a heel pad, but I have also got black carpetted mats beneath the rubber ones (helps cushion things further). These rubber mats do have grooves, which sometimes can be a bit of a pain to clean, cause you have to wipe each one individually clean. Otherwise, they trap the dirt well.

Hope this helps,

The first ones are not mats but liners (trays) made by Weathertech http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...d=90&Year=2007. They are more of a harder rubber/plastic. They are great for keeping spills contained. You would want to put the soft rubber or carpeted mats over top of them. I have these liners and rubber mats since I work in dirty areas and are easy to clean.

Hey All,

Thanks for all your input!

Just for everyones info, they were not giving the rubber mats for free, had to make them give it to me. They were just going to give me the BMW carpet mats. I tried to get all three, but only agreed on two.

Regards to the floor liners, do they feel more like plastic than rubber?

So choice is down to 2 either option 1 and option 3.

Thanks again for everyones input, greatly appreciated!

The liners are moulded pliable plastic.
