dumb question... what is the difference of the two grills?? it seems like it's also plastic but painted in titanium....or is it some type of metalic or plastic chrome??

what's the difference in simply painting the stock black ones??

how about the lower mesh pieces?? can you order them in titanium as well?

just doing my research so when my order arrives!!

sports pack should automatically include 'titanium' lower mesh colour, as far as I'm aware that's the only way to get it.

the actual kidney grill colour is titanium standard with the 4.8, black for the 6cyl models and there's no option I know of to change it other than painting it or buying the 4.8 grill from bmw parts and fitting it

that's my understanding of it anyway

The rear window shades are OEM, pn: 51460416674 . Both rear window shades took me less than 10 minutes to install. I got them from Morrisontown BMW.

I am sure you can order both middle meshes in titanium color. When I removed and installed the grilles this morning, I also tried study to see how I could remove both meshes. Both of them came off pretty easy.

Thanks for the info on the dvd.

How big is the box that the titanium grills come in. I know Morristown don't ship to Canada so I may get a pair shipped to a relative in the US.

Thanks

Jon,

My portable LCD dvd player came with the headrest mounting hardware. See pictures below.
Stevev,

I had the same DVD about a month ago, It vibrated so much during travel I had to remove it. It was difficult even watching a DVD on the road. I returned it and am looking for something else. Does yours vibrate? There is no bottom clip to hold the screen when flipped over so it just rattles, jiggles and vibrated over every bump and even on smooth pavement.

The box that I recieved from Morrisontown BMW is pretty big. It was around 8 lbs.

No, I do not have any problem with our Panasonic dvd so far. My son loves it.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems my headrest on the passenger seat vibrates which in turn makes the DVD player vibrate. Even my wife noticed it and she is usually in a trance while I am driving. The other thing I noticed about that DVD (LS82 correct?) is if you turn off the vehicle and then turn it on again the DVD starts again from the beginning. It won't resume from the last postion or is there a setting you can adjust?

The one that I have is LS850, when you stop and play again. It will resume to the chapter where you last stop. Did you try to strap it tight to the the headrest? My wife and my boy did not complaining about the screen vibration, maybe there is some vibrations but I did not notice because I am not the one who is watching the movie. I did add a piece of foam for cushing and supporting in the back of the screen, maybe that helped to reduce the vibration on the unit.
