Around $550 in parts at retail:
Trailer Hitch Kit 71 60 0 413 359, $491.00, Bumper Facia Trim Piece 71 60 0 035 371, $22.30, Ball and Tongue 71 60 0 413 358, $42.50 BMW states 2.5 hours labor (with 15 pages of instructions). Every tech I've met says they need twice that. If I knew how to upload the instructions I would as I have them. |

I'm being charged $1300 for my installation. Sounds like a lot to me...

If you could take pictures of the hitch installed on an E70, I'd appreciate it.
Just wondering what the [Bumper Facia Trim Piece] looks like, and how good it cleans up the cut in the bumper. Thanks. Going to order the trailer hitch kit and do the install myself on my '08 X5. Morristown BMW has it for $465 shipped. |

Got mine- hitch installed looks fine- unobstrusive and lower than one on previous X. Will try to post pics.
VOB did a great job on delivery- in and out in twenty minutes. They threw in floor mats and trunk liner. Then took a picture of us with the new car- a nice touch I thought. |
