Questions about Navigation System

With the factory Navigation system on an e70 is there a way to select a point of interest by name? For instance could you search under a restaurant category and pick a restaurant near by without knowing the physical address? I ask this because in a test drive of a different automaker it was easy to find restaurants, hotels, and what not using the nav system. I get the impression after thumbing through the E70 owners manual you have to know the physical address to get anywhere using the Nav. Am I correct or is there a great way to do this with the E70 navigation? please enlighten me on this!

Yes, you can go to categories, select restaurants and it will give you all the restaurants around the area. I've only used the POI a few times but so far it's been pretty good, finding hotels and all kinds of stuff.

Thank You for the quick response! I will be ordering an X5 sometime before spring, and in a short test drive I didn't play with the navigation much. I'm just going over little things to consider. So far I do love the I-Drive system and can't wait to sit in the driveway for an hour or so to fully understand all of its options!
