Vehicle Order Tracking (online) is so outdated!
Anyone who wants to know what the status is of their X5 build should NOT rely on the online Vehicle Order Tracking. My truck completed production on Oct 31 (last Wednesday) and Vehicle Order Tracking (one week later) still says "Scheduled for Production"! You need to call BMWNA 800.831.1117 or talk to your dealer if you want to know what the status is... |

Well, I gotta tell you this because I find it funny...
9 hours ago, the online status was still "Scheduled for Production" (even though it completed a week before). Its status is now "At Preparation Center"! What happened to "Awaiting Transport" and "En Route" statuses? Just spoke to my dealer about status yesterday. Going to get back to them today to see if it's at the Prep Center waiting to have Aero Kit installed... |

I didn't think the prep center would add the aero kit...at least my dealer checked and said no.

It seems that the Order Tracking gets updated very soon after a call to the BMW's 800 number. When I got my production number, the order tracking was displaying "On Order" and had wrong options listed. I've called the 800 number, and was told week of production 49, and confirmed the options/packages to match my order. Soon after that the order tracking reflected the correct options/packages, but it still says "On Order"... I am going to call the 800 number of monday again to see where it is...

Having gone through the ordering process myself recently, I can confirm that the 800 number is definitely the way to go if you want the most accurate info on your order. I have seen some dealers are better than others at keeping up with order status, too. It IS hard waiting, but that will dissipate soon after your X arrives!

The 800 number is definitely the way to go! It was updated and told me that my car had arrived at the dealer (well, in my case at their prep center in another town) and my CA disputed that. She said she would have been notified.
Anyway, she got back to much later that day to say that my car had arrived... No apology from her though --- such arrogance... |

I ordered my X5 and had it in my driveway 14days later!!
Same deal on the website.its not that up to date |

Called the 800 number today, they still have as "scheduled for production week 49", which is the next week. There is no additional information available...
![]() The representative said that the on-line information 3-4 days behind, and if I want to get current info, I should just call them up.... I HATE WAITING !!!
