That's a good idea, heating it from the inside - I didn't need to, but a good idea none the less.

Absolutely not, that is why I wrote this for this community.

The reflectors in our car are completely different, and the Bimmian instructions are WRONG for our E70 X5. This reflector (shown above) is for an old E46 car and was a simple swap - this is NOT how our reflectors work, see my pics.

KEF

Thanks for that confirmation. Unfortunately, I think I will probably not be doing this mod then

You're in CT, I don't know where - but if we don't live that far a part I'd be happy to look at it for you - I'm in central mass near 84 and 90.

Wow this is a GREAT resource. I am going to bookmark it for our customers, we are actually running specials on these reflectors through Christmas for those holiday wish lists!

Nick,

Are you sure you have the new style for the E70? I have just sent an email to Bimmian. I guess you don't have new installation instructions (based on what you say)

Thanks . . . . Brian

KEF,

I was wondering about that possibility

I am way down in south-west CT near NYC but I would consider coming up there. I will actually be north of Hartford this weekend.

I'll email you.

Thanks

is 79 a special price?
a bit high for my taste and I think bimmian sells for $80, no?
Nick, if you want more business (not that I am telling how to run your business) why dont you offer better specials and can even package a deal with plate frames or something, bimmian offers frames buy one, get second one $15 off.
I would offer buy more save more deal... or maybe a group buy or something.

Also, not that I think it will look good, but to some that dont like orange but still want some kind of reflective piece in the bumper, look at these

No he does not - he references my friend Mike's DIY for our E46 M3s, also the wrong application for this car.

FWIW, I bought mine from Bimmian and they don't have the install either.

Cheers,
Keith

I'm about 45 minutes from Hartford, I'll be around this weekend - I'd be happy to look it over for you send me an email, kefatroadflydotcom and perhaps we can work something out.

Do you have the 4.8 or the 3.0?

Cheers,
KEF
