I went ahead did the install. It turned out to be easy. The main trick in removing the original reflectors is to slide the flat head along the two sides where the tape lies (logical).
The clear replacements that I purchased from eBay did not fill as the original ambers. It might have been due to the thick 3M adhesive (I noticed the original adhesive was much thinner). But overall, it was acceptable.

I just ordered and received a set of the clear ones. While they are nice the tape and or depth of the reflector conspire to leave them recessed into the original space. This leaves a gap (which is unpainted) and at least IMO looks awful.
Anyone have any suggestions for a better quality tape or a set that worked out more flush?
