I have not done this mod. However, try going to www.realoem.com you can pull up schematics for the seat, seat back and console. This may help you understand how it is assembled. You can tap the lighter wire from the console without removing the console. See my post on installing a radar detector. http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...radar+detector
