I developed another rattle. Get rid of one, earn two more.

Now it's coming from my passenger seat. It seems to be coming from the base where you sit on and where the back rest portion of the seat meet. Sounds like when you shake a jacket and the button makes a clicking noise. When I shove my hand in the gap, it goes away. Is there something that I can tighten up??

That's the one where the second row seat belts are right? If so, pry off the air bag label, there is a torx key in there, then make your way to the base of the seat belt and remove that hex bolt holding the seat belt in place. Then the rest is just snapped in. You should be able to pry around and have it pop out.

^ do you guys have the 2011 model year as that was the first year after the refresh? Curious since "first year run" is always cited for creaks and similar issues.

Yup, I have the 2011. I bought it used and have been working through the various issues. Rear airbags replaced, battery replaced, all Turbo coolant lines replaced, trailer hitch installed, rear sun shade replaced, engine compartment plastics replaced, tires replaced with non run flats......

I have this creaking and clanking and then a persistent CEL to deal with. This thing needs attention for sure.

I am new forum member. I have a 2009 xDrive48i Sport and I've got terrible creaking noises coming from both rear sides. I've reviewed this entire thread but am not very technical. I'd easily be willing to pay someone to help me get rid of these noises. I live in Laguna Beach, California.
