HD Radio option?

I would like to upgrade my 2007 X5 to HD radio. Is it possbile to add the HD radio module?

I ordered HD radio from the factory but i believe it's just a module that plugs into the harness.

I asked this before, and was told it is not possible. I also asked the SA. I did, however, get my Sirius added after the fact.

are there many HD radio channels? does anyone listen to this more than the Sirrius radio??

Here in SW Florida in my prior car there are so many channels I could not find a consistently clear one for my (FM based) Sirus radio.

Of all those channels, exactly one shows up as HD.

Your experience may vary, and presumably more are coming, but it sure wouldn't be worth it here to upgrade unless you REALLY like that one channel.

This can be done, but you will likely need wiring changes and a new roof antenna that has connections for both receivers. Both of these receivers are designed to mount on the same bracket in the left rear quarter. You may have a problem fitting both of them in there.
