UK Price Increase
BMW are still not offering any discounts of list price either! its great being ripped all the time in the uk !

You should be able to get a discount, best to go right at the end of the month and say you are prepared to sign on the dotted line that day if the deal is right. I bought mine at the end of August, the first dealer I went to said straight away that he was not prepared to discount, but then when I said others were, he "stretched" to 1.5%, eventually I went to another dealer and got 3%.

i went to to three dealers and non would offer me any discount at all ... in the end they have thown in the usual, a set of mats and paint guard.. equates to about 495.00 off the price ...but im assuming paint guard is just a bottle of turtle wax....lol

On another note I hear from my dealer that they were a bit disappointed with the level of sales during the summer, but since the introduction of the new diesels pushing them into band F for vehicle licensing, they have been inundated with orders, so much so that they are now quoting April for delivery to the UK.

considering the way the dollar is going and the fact that the X5 is built in US, then the price should be going the other way!

Hmmm. I hope this doesn't hit my car...I've paid the depotsit and it's on a boat across the atlantic!
Introducing ED id definitely a massive plus, nothing else in the class even comes close to getting into band F. Have to say that my dealer was absolutely fantastic, told me at launch evening that they would be introducing it and told me to wait until it was confirmed before ordering. Great customer service, sometimes customer loyalty does pay off!
