Arrow 2009 X5 M

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I thought a lot of the others would dig it!!! (If this is a repost.... my apologies!!)

Does the world really need a high-performance BMW X5? What could it hurt? Well, other than its own passengers and those in vehicles and small towns around it when it careens out of control at the inevitable 155-mph governor, of course. What the dickens would an X5 be doing at 155 mph, you ask? Just exploiting the 500-hp V-10 from BMW’s M5 and M6.

Take a look at these photos: gaping intakes carved into the front fascia to allow more air into the engine bay for cooling and consumption; lumpy hood to provide an appropriately aggressive appearance for running down 500-hp Porsche Cayanne Turbos and 503-hp Mercedes Benz ML63's ; fatty-bo-batty rear rubber; and, the key telltale, the signature quad tailpipes of BMW’s M performance division.

The guy who snapped the photos tells us this X5 sounded different, like maybe there was a V-10 hiding where a V-8 would normally be nestled.
We have no good reason for hoping he’s right, other than a serious jones for ever more high-horsepower hits. We’ll let you know when we find out....

Thumbs up It's got my attention...

I believe I read somewhere that the engine was being tested for the X6. Either way, I've been waiting to hear more about an x5 capable of competing with the Pepper. There is obviously a market and demand for this...if it makes it to production, sign me up! It would definitely satisfy my mod hunger... The 4.6iS would stay in the stable though, I may garage her and turn into a fam hand-me-down. Got the M6 on my radar...anyhoo looking forward to reading more into this X5 M and test driving!:

Humm.. I guess we do not have a puking emicon on here. That X6 is ugly and I think it will be a flop.....

Now you put 500 hp in the X5 and you have a winner just like the original idea of the 4.6is...

Btw... I think this post should have stayed in the general forum. While I usually never frequent the E70 forum (similar to many other forum members) I would love info on any high hp upcoming X5.....

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it.
