seems like you want to take the badges off, just do it. I own a 4.8 and I dont give a sheeet. I think it will look cleaner anyway.
is a 4.8 owner gets mad, then he or she is a moron.
Now if you take the 3.0 off and put 4.8 on , thats another story. that would be dumb.

Well, in a backhanded way I do nowadays. I had my brand new BMW keyed extensively overnight, with only 14 miles on the odo, in Spartanburg after taking delivery at the performance center. Whoever did it also spit on the windshield and side window as they did it.

I am guessing some people don't like people with BMWs, so I now debadge my vehicles. Sure, anyone intelligent can tell it's a BMW without the badges, but I'm guessing those people who key BMWs aren't that bright and the BMW Roundels may attract them.

Wow, that really hurt.
Really sorry to hear that. I still dont understand why people key other cars, but other then jealousy or possibly takigng someone else's parking spot.
As far as BMW or X5 badge, well, they will see its a nice brand new car, I dont think people really care which brand or model it is, if it looks expensive, some will be jealous.

i was just kidding

i think the badge is more of free advertisement for bmw. put a badge on a car, if someone likes it, they know to look up BMW X5. unlike many/all of us here, many people can't name cars on the spot.
