Software Versions Revealed

Please refer to the attachment . I forget the way to access the Hidden menu via iDrive but this seems to be a great way to check your version !!

In Taiwan, the BMW dealers usually re-program the newly deliveries when about to sell out. So, for BMW drivers in Taiwan, the only way to find out the iDrive version is through you called "hidden menu".

But, how? Please recall your brain about the "hidden Menu" and share with
us. Thank you.

Thank you, James.

Before I try, I would like to ask you, are you sure these operations won't screw up the car? It is weekend now and I would like to go out with my car rather than to tow my car into service.

Just want to reconfirm with you.

From the main menu with the 'i' in the middle and the 4 arrows around it

Press the Idriive controller down for a least 10 seconds and release
Rotate it 3 click to the right (nothing happens on the screen)
Rotate it back 3 clicks to the left (nothing happens on the screen)
Rotate it back 1 click to the right (nothing happens on the screen)
Rotate it back 1 click to the left (nothing happens on the screen)
Rotate it back 1 click to the right (nothing happens on the screen)
Press and release

There you are into the menu for what it is worth!

It works :-)

What does MMI reset do? Found lots of interesting info, can't change any though, such as disabling legal disclosure or changing how long it stays on the screen....

Thanks guys!!
