then both of you can open the door.

The problem this presents is if your wife unlocks the doors, but you are driving...the prefreences are hers (seats, radio stations, ac, etc.)

so be warned, dont let your wife (or husband) know about the second key.

Unless you set your prefs to only unlock the driver door.

Then you'll probably end up having to drive her car instead because shes always taking your car. At this point, the X5 is no longer for you to call your own sadly .. lol j/k

funny, I often end up opening the door for her because of CA. its helping me score some extra points and I don't mind blaming chivalry for doing it too. Love CA. its one of the best features. I wish it would lock the door automatically as I walk away from the car though.. Getting lazy putting my finger on the handle to lock it.

Still learning about comfort access but...

Let's say I have it set so only the driver door opens upon entry. So when I have 3 other people getting in the car and I grab the driver door handle only the driver door opens. Then I have to get into the car and press the unlock button to let them in.

But sometimes it works that way and sometimes it doesn't (and everyone's door opens). So last night I had the same scenario and instead of grabbing the driver door, I grabbed the rear door behind the driver side...and all the doors unlocked. So I'm thinking that when all the doors every other time in this scenario, it was because the person opening the rear door grabbed thier door handle before me (or as I was passing them)...Does this logic sound right?

correct, touch the driver door- only driver door opens
touch rear door and all doors open
