a question on included accessories...

some have mentioned getting first aid kits and glove compartment flashlights with their vehicles... i got neither one...

do they come included in US orders??

my glove box has a slot for the flashlight but no flashlight.. and no first aid kit in the trunk either...

not a big deal but i'm just curious since i'll be dropping the truck off for some minor work next week... perfect time to bring it to his attention!

any other included accessories i should be aware of???

thanks in advance!

You should get a flashlight in the glovebox. However, you will not get the first aid kit nor the emergency triangle in the US.

You'll get a flashlight if the techs don't steal it. Mine was gone, but in it's place were a set of wheel locks, so it seemed a fair trade. Merry Christmas to all forum members!

No accessories came with mine. I don't think that you'll find a flashlight in the glovebox in a 2008. There's nowhere for it to plug into.

In a 2008 you do get a flashlight, battery powered. No first aid kit.

My 2008 was the same. Small led flashlight with batteries.

First Aid kit & emergency triangle are not provided in the US....We never get hurt.....our US models never breakdown.....and our run flats never are!!

Happy Holidays to All!

any pics of the battery operated flashlight?? sounds like a very small crappy item not worth bothering my dealer about...

just thought i was missing a few significant items...

if the first aid kit and triangles aren't included in US models than why bother.....

drod,
I know you can find a picture of the flashlight on trueX5er's custom X5 page. It is 9 pictures up from the bottom of the E70 picture section

I hope TrueX5er does not mind me referring you to his custom page.

I asked BMW NA Customer Service about this a couple months back since I, too, was looking for these items. Their answer was they are not provided anymore.

I hate this trend of taking away tools. No spare (most new BMWs at least, sans X5 and X3). No jack. No flashlight. No dipstick.

BMW drives me often with its push towards "mainstream". That's why I still like the X3 more than the 325i.
