Seat position memory
I have tried all the i-drive settings for "Last seat position" deactivated, upon unlock, upon door open...it makes no difference. Is the M1 seat position supposed to be assigned to the key and return to the saved position when you re-enter the car even if you moved the seats with the same key active?

Comfort Key Needs to be in Ignition for M 1/2 setting
I was told that you need to have the Comfort Key in the ignition when you set your Memory 1 or 2 options in order for the car to then reset itself to your preferences.
From that point on, if you never need to change the M 1/2 settings, you don't need to insert the key. |

I have comfort access as well and my seat memories work fine. when I switch keys it moves to accommodate that specific key (does not need the key in the ignition) but when I just have the settings memorized for one key, then it works fine in recalling it when I want to say go from M1 to M2.
If you have the seat memorized as M1 with one key and you leave and come back with that same key, the seat will not move every time for there is no need to change anything. If you come back with a second key with different settings, then the seats will move for that key. hope that helps p.s. its only the stirring wheel that moves every time you enter and exit the car. Not necessarily the seats. I think some of the the Acura seats go back to the 'default' position every time exit and then comes back to the memorized position matching the key. I could be wrong though. |

okay..
so what happens is that the seat thinks that the last seat adjustment is the latest and the best preferred by the driver so it keeps it that way. If you press the M1 button, the seat should come back to the M1 position (meaning , 'okay nevermind about the new adjustment I want the memorized setting back!') all of this can be done without the key in the ignition. |

what ever is done last is kept unless the setting is reverted by pressing the M1 or M2. if you desire/ love to watch the seat move when you open the car, alternate keys when opening the door or get an Infinity or Acura that moves the seats every time to and from the 'default' position (which IMHO is totally worthless and pointless, its like cleaning and dirtying a house and cleaning again. why not just clean it once and leave it) |
