Low Battery & SOS Malfunction on new X5?
I've had my new X5 for almost 2 months (only 1,000 miles driven) and this morning the system tells me that I have a low battery and an SOS system malfunction. Anybody know what could be causing this? This happen to anybody else? I serached the boards and really couldn't find anything although battery problems seem to be frequent. Needless to say, I am a bit angry... Thanks in advance!

Battery is indeed a weak item in the E70. I had mine also replaced last week (under warranty that is).

Hans, what was the reason for your replacement?
Cheers,

Dealer replaced it and no issues since. There are so many electronics in these cars, that the batteries are coming way to short. They are still using the same batteries (power wise) compared to 10 years ago, so they almost 'must' fail pretty soon. |
