Where did you get your wheel locks?

If it didn't come from your dealer, what store has them? I've searched a few places but have come up empty on ones that fit (14mm x 1.5). Is this one of those things where it's really just a BMW accessory as the only option?

You should read this thread http://www.xoutpost.com/lounge/41855-...ht=wheel+locks and the other one that is linked to from that thread. You might decide not get BMW wheel locks.

Dealer threw them in for free.

As the link mentions, wheel locks won't deter a thief, but neither will the locks on your house doors. I keep them both locked anyway.

You can check Ebay for OEM locks, seem to run around $20 for the set.

Thanks for the link - I will be picking these up then. E53 & E70 wheels are the same size nuts, correct?

Affraid I have personal experience of what does and doesn't work having in the past had wheels stolen and also subsequently had a failed attempt. The new BMW locks as pictured in that other thread are much better than they have been in the past which I can vouch don't work! The new BMW one's are very similar to the McGuard Ultra which are one of the best one's.

End of the day they will always get past them if they really want the wheels. It's worth getting more than one set on if you want to slow them up/disourage the thief. That way they may go elsewhere.

FYI: Apparently they are different - E53 and E70 BMW Wheel Locks are different part#s and McGard doesn't even make one for the E70. I will have to get them from the dealer - something (even if it's common) is better than nothing I guess.

Then you would want these (but it doesn't show part #):
